Insurance & Financing
As you consider your options for either cosmetic or reconstructive surgery, you may be wondering about your financing options. Some of the common questions you may have include:
What Insurance Plans Do You Accept?
As a convenience to our patients, we’re participating in as many insurance plans as possible. Due to the arduous process of getting on these plans, we’ve only applied to some of the most common/popular ones. They are as follows:
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Blue Cross/Shield
- United Healthcare
- Pacificare
- FACEY
Will my insurance cover the procedure?
Many reconstructive procedures are covered by insurance policies. However, every insurance company has a different set of criteria for distinguishing between reconstructive versus cosmetic procedures. Sometimes, apparently cosmetic procedures may also fall under the reconstruction category. For example, procedures such as breast reductions and belpharoplasty are often covered, but each insurance company has different criteria that have to be met before coverage is allowed. This may simply involve a letter from your physician that properly documents you ailments. Insurance policies also vary with regards to the amount of coverage provided. Due to the complexities of insurance contracts, the best way for you to figure these things out is to come in for a complimentary consultation and let us do the work to maximize your insurance benefits.
When do I have to pay?
Our experienced medical staff will work with you on obtaining financing, if necessary. Once the necessary arrangements are made, we will work out a mutually agreeable date for surgery. We require a 20% deposit at the time surgery is scheduled. Payment of the remaining balance is expected 1 week prior to the planned surgery. Please understand that this policy ensures that operating room time is not wasted and that all our patients have the greatest flexibility in scheduling their surgeries.
What types of payment do you accept?
While cash payments are always welcomed, we understand that this is often not possible. For your convenience we will also accept credit card payments (Visa/MasterCard/American Express) as well as third party cosmetic financing.
Cosmetic Financing
Can I get financing for my cosmetic procedure?
As a service to our patients, we are able to offer financing from several reputable companies. Financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining the care you deserve. It is also an easy way to spread out the out-of-pocket cost for cosmetic procedures. If there is a need, please contact us and we'll help you make the necessary arrangements with the appropriate cosmetic surgery financing companies.
